...I wanted to say thank you! Such an awesome job presenting and facilitating such thoughtful conversation. They loved you! And I can tell you really got them thinking about themselves and how they can apply what they learned today. As you were presenting I found myself thanking God that I know you AND that I get to share you with people. I appreciate you! I’m looking forward to sharing you with my kiddos in July!

...I met you a few months ago at Kingdom Ministries Church where you were the keynote speaker. You left an effect on me and I reached out to you afterward acknowledging the effect you had on me. I want to come visit you if you have any office hours.
— President of Student Leaders Coalition, Lansing Community College
You have really turned the district around in a short period of time through encouraging all of us to examine the relationship between behavior/mental health and academic achievement. Prior to you coming on board, all of our decisions related to student behavior were based on taking punitive measures without considering the diverse needs of our families in the district.

Your departure is a major loss for the school district and the City of Lansing as a whole. I truly believe that you have had a major impact in terms of challenging all of us to do some serious cognitive restructuring as it relates to the value of rapport and empathy for students, staff, and parents.

Thank you for your leadership and guidance over the past few years!
— Principal, Urban School District

Our school district has been positively influenced by your leadership.

I wanted to reach out to thank you for ALL that you have done, invested in and contributed to MPS. A few years ago, I never would have imagined that we would have made headway and progress with the major barriers, perceptions, conversations, and tough to tackle issues within our team and district.

I am thankful that you and your team were the right fit to be able to lead and guide this work. I have truly enjoyed working with you, learning and growing this team.

Thank you for impacting our administration, community and ultimately our students. It matters.
